"We have a republic with a hereditary president and you have a monarchy with a elected king" - Frank Dobson

We started this morning with a full English breakfast, it was hearty and filling. Overall a good way to start the day.
We met with our teacher at 10 and began our trip to the Holborn Library. We met with former Member of Parliment Frank Dobson. He was very insightful and gave me an interesting look into the British system and what it means to be a Labour Party member. He talked a lot about his work in the health ministry and the accomplishments his staff made. He also has several memorable quotes that I really enjoyed.
After we finished with Frank we walked to the near by tube station and traveled to the St. Paul's station. We grabbed some lunch outside the cathedral and sat in the shade for a nice relaxed lunch. After lunch we walked toward the water front and crossed the millennial bridge and enjoyed the water front.
We spent the afternoon at the Tate Modern art museum. I really enjoyed the exhibits. There was some really cool peices, pictures to follow. I spent the entire time in the museum with my professor, David Parker. We had some interesting discussions about what the various Art peices meant. Specifically this really cool soviet propaganda exibit, on which my professor had some very Informative perspectives on. After a few hours there we walked a few blocks to a local Turkish restaurant. The food was so good! I got a seasoned lamb chop and it was fantastic! So good! I love the diversity of food we are receiving on this trip.

Later! Matthew
